Let AI agents help, with you in charge.
Loam includes an MCP server, so AI apps that support the Model Context Protocol can search, read and write your notes, but only after you approve them.
- You approve what each app asks for: read, write, or manage sharing
- Agent edits appear live, labelled as an agent’s edit
- A checkpoint is saved before an agent edits, so you can roll back
- AI apps connected over MCP can move notes to the trash, never delete them for good
Approve each app
When an AI app connects, Loam asks you to sign in and shows exactly what it is asking for. Nothing happens until you approve it, and it gets only what you approved.
Scopes you can see
Each app asks for what it needs: reading notes, writing notes or managing sharing. You see the list before you approve, and an app without the sharing scope can never share your notes.
Edits you can see and undo
An agent’s changes appear live in the note, like a collaborator’s, labelled as an agent’s edit, and they never notify anyone. Loam saves a checkpoint before it edits, so you can roll back.
No permanent deletes
AI apps connected over MCP can move a note to the trash, where you can restore it, but they can’t delete a note for good.
