# Loam

> Loam is a Markdown notes app for Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android. Write in plain text that formats as you type, edit together in real time and connect AI agents over MCP.

- Platforms: Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android
- Status: in development; a waitlist is open on the home page
- Pricing: free on one device; Loam Pro is US$2.99 a month or US$29.99 a year
- Notes: standard Markdown (GitHub-style tables and task lists) that formats in place as you type; nested #tags; [[links]] between notes; full-text search
- Collaboration: invite people as editors, commenters or viewers; live cursors; comments with @mentions; version history; publish a note to the web
- AI agents: an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server; each AI app is approved by the person and limited to the scopes they choose (read, write, manage sharing); a checkpoint is saved before an agent edits; agents never delete notes permanently
